Historic Beaufort Foundation works to protect the architectural character and historic integrity of Beaufort’s 304-acre National Historic Landmark District, which contains almost 500 historic structures spanning 300 years. The organization advocates for thoughtful growth and development that balances modern needs with preserving Beaufort’s unique sense of place and livability. Through active engagement with city officials, members and citizens, HBF addresses zoning, planning, and infrastructure issues to ensure Beaufort’s architectural legacy is safeguarded for future generations.
